music, when soft voices die

i like to open my poetry book at random
and see what poem finds me or what poem i find :)

"Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory-
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heap'd for the beloved's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on. "

Percy Bysshe Shelley

Im very bad at interpreting poetry, I could never understand them but this one seemed to connect instantly, maybe its got to do with the subject :) Thanks for it sharing it with us.

Yeah next time I would definitely stay longer. I come from a small university town, so chicago was really intimidating and beautiful. Even NYC and San Francisco didnt do that to me. When I come next time around, maybe you could show me around, Ill promise to be a good boy :))

It is so twilight zone like when I read some of your stuff. I took an intro to writing poetry in college, and chose to do a study of PB Shelly. Can't remember a darn thing now, but this sprung to life, like a beautiful flower in a barren meadow.

I used to do the very same thing in high-school! Right now I kind of left poetry...I guess I betrayed myself a little!
