something's missing

"i'm dizzy from the shopping mall
i searched for joy but i bought it all
it doesn't help the hunger pain
and a thirst i'd have to drown first to ever satiate

something's missing
and i don't know how to fix it
something's missing
and i don't know what it is
at all

when autumn comes
it doesn't ask
it just walks in where it left you last
you never know when it starts
until there's fog inside the glass around your summer heart

i can't be sure that this state of mind
is not of my own design
i wish there was an over-the-counter test
for loneliness like this

how come everything i think i need always comes with batteries
what do you think it means?"

I love the lyrics Lorena, and John Mayer, so which album is this from. I also like "Your Body is a Wonderland", "Back to You", "My Stupid Mouth", "Why Georgia", and another one that starts, "I worry, I way three times my body, I worry, I throw my fears around, this morning, there's a calm I can't explain...damn, I can't remember the name to that one.

hi mermaid, this is from "Heavier Things" i love that cd. The song you are referring to is "Clarity" love that song!!!

I like those you listed as well. Also love "Split Screen Sadness" and "Wheel".

CD that I'm enjoying right now is Damien Rice's O. Have you heard of him? You would like his songs. He has that beautiful one song "The Blower's Daughter" from the film "Closer". So far I like the first 4 from that CD.

Yes! I'm waiting for my cousin to lend me her Damien Rice CD. Which reminds me, I need to borrow it from her.

Is "heavier things" a newer album than room for squares? Do you like the whole CD?

i've always felt it was a good sign when 'something's missing' to me it means there's something out there waiting for us, too.

yeah stella, that would be the most positive way of looking at things.

i think this song is about depression. sometimes that is out of our control.
my favorite of this song is the last line
"how come everything i think i need always comes with batteries
what do you think it means?"

for heavens sake wont everybody stop harping that aishwarya rai is the most beautiful woman in the world. she is artificial, affected and she does not represent india in any way.

in hindsight, this is not a nice way of endearing myself, a first time visitor, to your blog :) nice couple of blogs you have here. neat.

i commend you for your honesty. i like people who say how they feel. i wouldn't say she is the most beautiful in the world. beauty goes far beyond the physical.

thanks for dropping by :)
